Portrait of Charalampos Anagnostakis

About

I'm a PhD researcher in genomics and bioinformatics, jointly enrolled at ULB and KU Leuven in Brussels. I work between Prof. Tarabichi's group at IRIBHM–ULB and Prof. Demeulemeester's group at VIB–KU Leuven.

I trained first as a pharmacist in Thessaloniki, drifted towards computation somewhere around a thesis on RNA editing in chronic lymphocytic leukaemia, and stayed there. Since then I've built long-read single-cell multiomics analyses for clear cell sarcoma, co-written an open-source Python package for spatial transcriptomics data, and won a gold medal at iGEM for a urine-based test for pancreatic cancer.

Most people call me Harry.
